Aiming to groom talented youngsters PCM Group and Mohun Bagan has started its residential football academy in Jalpaiguri in West Bengal on 21st November ‘2009. A joint venture between Mohun Bagan Athletic club, the premier club in country and PCM Group the academy is the first of its kind in the North Bengal involving a top-notch soccer club. Celebrity football coaches and former national players are conducting trials to spot the talented youngsters who are trained for gauge their aptitude and potential. There are residential and non-residential arrangements for the trainees who are imparted training for a three year period. It is hoped that the acute shortage of good quality Indian footballers would be covered up.
